Weigh your words, throw your light on the page not the book at me - I never see you

Words are a weapon when you want them to be. But like a bullet, they can be dodged. Like a knife they cut, their depth unknown. Like a stone they bruise. But throw your hurtful words and if they do not apply, I can dodge, duck, rearrange them in mid-air. Their intention lost, their truth revealed. They become my truth, they remain your pain.

Hey, thanks for the comment, I bet that Vt air is really starting to feel good about now eh? I may come up near New Years, ever sit down and have a drink with an abrasive conservative?

I had to read that twice to understand it. Your writing is like a poetry & has so much more depth than what I read the 1st time.
What a very true reality. What I take (for myself) from this is, when someone is hurling hurtful but misdirected words, I don't have to own it.
I can apply that to my everyday life.
thanks, Helen!

Where have you been? Have you seen the sliver of light in the wilderness and became entranced by it? Your words has touched me!
