My husband loves Jerry. It is too bad that Jerry could never really sober up.

"It is too bad that Jerry could never really sober up."

Just to clear up a misconception... Jerry died of a clogged aorta. His addictions were heroin and cocaine, both plant derivatives. It was the Big Macs that killed him, not the drugs. Facts are facts. The drugs weren't good for him, but it was poor diet and lack of exercise that killed him.

It was chile-dogs and ice-cream that did Jerry in at the end. He found himself an enabler girlfriend who kept pulling him off of his diet.

One of the saddest aspects of Jerry's life was the disconnect he had with his daughters.

For every element of genuise he possessed, the man had missing elements of things like common sense, self-control, and an ability to relate with the closest people in his life, his flesh and blood.

PS- I may have been your first 25peeps click. I got in at "two minutes ago"...
