If I knew the way, I would take you home - Ripple

Even though we are on the same journey, our paths are different. I worry knowing you are lost. I scream, you can't hear me or choose to ignore. You've got to cut, scratch, claw your way through. Stumble, fall, get up, wipe yourself off. I see you, can't reach you. I'll meet you at the end and wait for your safe arrival. Or will you be waiting for me?

it's painful when someone you love or really care for defiantly swims away from shore sans life jacket.

It's difficult to watch someone else find their way through life. Especially when we can show them how to live it so much better. This reminded me of my son & how I hope he lives a serene life, sooner rather than later.
I always enjoy reading your entries. Like Ben said, they make me think.

The realisation that we are all on our own path and that, no matter how close you are with someone else, you can never 'fix' life for them, is one of life's greatest lessons, whether it is your child, spouse or friend. We must allow others the responsibility of living their own lives while being there to celebrate or pick up the pieces without the 'i told you so'. All we can do is love those close to us and be there for them regardless of whether we believe they are making the right choices or not. We determine our own 'right' choices, for which we must bear the consequence.

thank you. easy
