So we can learn. Learn Faith? Patience? Understanding? I consider it, what I have learned. Beyond that, what I have taught. I decide I must do more of both.

While I know that what you wrote is true, where I'm at right now, I hate it.
The 1 thing we avoid in life, the 1 thing that's inevitable, is death. The death of others, even the thought is unbearable.
That is so powerful.
It is through the lessons we are made to learn that we become stronger, defined. The trauma and the terror, once passed, once processed, clear away the dross from the inner core of strength. Much as water will carve a canyon, or smooth a stone, our inner self is revealed to us through our experiences.
And, I think, when there is a time that we need to know just what we can do, who we are, that we find we can transcend even that in the name of another.
