I've been in these situations. Life seems to have beaten all hope out of you. It doesn't seem like you'll ever make - ever find peace again. It's hard to see a friend go through it, knowing what it takes - time.You listen,
support,
empathize. Possibly even suggest.
The end - only hope that you may have helped.
There are times when you will live in doubt and I can't help at all.

You're helping by sticking around. So many people don't. That's more than you know.
I love the title of your blog...
Nice post. There are limits as to what you can do for someone; at some point, they have to do for themselves. But offering help is one way to get them to do that.
